What you will do:
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Execution
- Implement sales strategies developed by the Head of Sales to meet regional revenue and customer acquisition targets.
- Drive sales of device financing products through direct client engagement, partnerships, and localized campaigns.
- Monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, customer conversion rates, and portfolio growth.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and manage a regional sales team, ensuring adherence to company standards and performance metrics.
- Conduct regular training and coaching sessions to enhance team skills in product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
Market Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned region, including partnerships with local retailers, distributors, or financial institutions.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and regional trends to inform sales tactics.
- Represent the company at local events, trade shows, and community engagements to promote the device financing portfolio.
Performance Analysis
- Track and analyze regional sales data, customer feedback, and market trends using provided analytics tools.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, challenges, and opportunities for the Head of Sales.
- Adjust sales approaches based on data insights to optimize results and address market dynamics.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing team to execute region-specific campaigns and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with risk and product development teams to ensure compliance with financing policies and alignment with customer needs.
- Partner with customer service teams to resolve client issues and enhance the overall customer experience
What you will need:
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in financial services, device financing, or retail.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and CRM tools to track performance and customer behavior.
- Knowledge of the Kenyan market, particularly in device financing, fintech and consumer electronics, is a plus.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed.
