Role Summary
Support the development, calibration, and operationalization of advanced modelling and forecasting systems for environmental and climate-related applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, run, and optimize numerical and statistical models.
- Conduct model validation, verification, and performance analysis.
- Develop workflows for data processing and model automation.
- Support integration of forecasting outputs into operational systems.
- Contribute to development of technical documentation and user guidelines.
- Deliver technical training and mentoring to local teams.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Atmospheric Science, Climate Modelling, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in environmental or climate modelling.
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R, or similar).
- Experience with data analysis, visualization, and model verification techniques.
- Familiarity with open-source tools and modelling frameworks.
