Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostic Imaging: Interpret and report X-rays, Ultrasound, CT scans, and Mammography studies accurately and timely.
  • Interventional Procedures: Perform and supervise ultrasound-guided biopsies and other minor image-guided interventions.
  • Quality & Safety: Maintain high standards of diagnostic accuracy, radiation safety, and equipment quality control.
  • Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with clinicians and specialists to support effective patient diagnosis and management.
  • Teleradiology: Manage and report remote imaging studies via PACS with efficient turnaround times.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise radiographers and sonographers to ensure optimal image acquisition and patient care.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Master of Medicine (MMed) in Radiology from a recognized institution.
  • Licensing: Registered and licensed as a Specialist by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in a busy diagnostic center or hospital environment.
  • Technical Skills: Competency across multiple imaging modalities; MRI and advanced Doppler skills are an added advantage.
  • Attributes: Strong attention to detail, professionalism, integrity, and ability to deliver clear reports under pressure.
