NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 25 – Emirates will introduce its Airbus A350 aircraft on flights between Nairobi and Dubai from October 25, bringing its Premium Economy cabin to Kenya for the first time.

The A350 will operate flights EK717 and EK718, making Nairobi the 32nd destination served by the aircraft.

The aircraft has 298 seats across Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.

Emirates Country Manager in Kenya Christophe Leloup said the new aircraft would give passengers more choice and comfort on the Nairobi-Dubai route.

“The arrival of the A350 in Nairobi marks an exciting new chapter for Emirates in Kenya,” Leloup said.

The Premium Economy cabin will feature leather reclining seats, adjustable headrests, more legroom, charging points and 13.3-inch entertainment screens.

The Business Class cabin will have a 1-2-1 seating arrangement, giving each passenger direct access to the aisle, while the seats can be converted into fully flat beds.

Economy Class will feature 13.3-inch 4K entertainment screens, leather headrests and additional legroom.

The introduction of the A350 comes after Emirates increased its Nairobi-Dubai service to three daily flights in July, taking the total number of weekly flights on the route to 21.

The airline said the additional services give passengers more options for connecting between Kenya and destinations in Europe and the United States through Dubai.
