Microsoft has appointed Angela Ng’ang’a as its new Country Lead for East Africa. Based in Nairobi, Ng’ang’a assumes leadership over the tech giant’s operations across Kenya and the broader regional ecosystem, signaling a renewed focus on local technology development and artificial intelligence readiness.

Ng’ang’a brings over 20 years of combined experience across technology, telecommunications, healthcare, and public policy. She is a long-standing executive at Microsoft, having joined the company in 2012. Over her 14-year tenure at the firm, she has held several high-level leadership roles, including:

  • Regional Director of Customer Success (East & West Africa)
  • Director of Corporate Affairs (Middle East & Africa)
  • Education Industry Director (Africa)

Prior to her career at Microsoft, Ng’ang’a built extensive public policy and corporate affairs expertise through senior roles at Telkom Kenya and AAR Health Services.

In her new capacity, Ng’ang’a will spearhead Microsoft’s strategic engagements with regional governments, commercial enterprises, and the startup community. A core pillar of her leadership vision centers on elevating East Africa from merely consuming global tech solutions to actively generating them.
