Fashion shifted from the runway to real life at Nairobi’s Galleria Mall as women gathered for Style, Sip & Shop, an immersive fashion and lifestyle event led by award-winning stylist Connie Aluoch.

Held on Saturday, 29 August 2026, the interactive experience swapped fleeting trend-chasing for meaningful conversations around personal identity, practical wardrobing, and navigating style through life’s varied stages.

Aluoch led a live session themed Fashion Through the Seasons, focusing on how women can build versatile, functional wardrobes that evolve alongside corporate transitions, motherhood, and changing personal priorities.

“Fashion is not just about following trends. It is about understanding who you are, where you are in your life, and how you want to express yourself,” noted Aluoch during her presentation. “A woman in her twenties may have very different needs from a woman in her forties or a mother balancing family and career, but that does not mean style has to become complicated. Style, Sip & Shop was an opportunity to have an honest conversation about how we can dress for the lives we are actually living while still feeling confident and like ourselves.”

Beyond the discussions, the event served as a collaborative showcase for Galleria Mall’s fashion tenants. Attendees participated in a curated shopping experience, trying on curated pieces and receiving direct, personalized advice from Aluoch to encourage more intentional, long-lasting wardrobe choices.

For Galleria Mall, the initiative marks a continued shift toward experiential retail, moving beyond simple transactions to foster community and discovery.

“Today’s consumer is looking for more than a place to shop. They are looking for experiences, discovery, connection, and reasons to spend meaningful time in a destination,” explained Faith Adhiambo, Marketing Manager at Galleria Mall. “Style, Sip & Shop allowed us to bring these elements together through fashion while creating a platform for women to learn, interact, and discover something different. It was also an opportunity for our fashion retailers to engage with customers in a more experiential way.”
