The denial follows accusations by South Sudan, which blamed Sudan's military for the attack and summoned Sudanese Ambassador Isam Mohamed Hassan Karar to lodge a formal protest.
Sudan has denied responsibility for a drone strike on a market in the disputed Abyei region that local authorities say killed at least 220 people, rejecting accusations that its armed forces targeted civilians.
In a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Sudanese government dismissed claims that its military carried out the October 19 attack on Amiet Market, also known as Al-Naam market, near the border with South Sudan.
"The Government of the Republic of the Sudan categorically denies claims alleging that the Sudanese Armed Forces are responsible for the killing of innocent civilians in a drone strike on Al-Naam Market in the Abyei area,” the ministry said.
