Toastmasters will be increasing the pathways fees from the 1st of July. The cost will go up from 20 dollars to 35 dollars. You have probably never had to buy a path before as a Toastmaster (because your first path was free), and so you are not sure how to go about it. Or you have completed your first Toastmasters Pathway and are wondering what comes next? Or perhaps you’ve discovered another path that better aligns with your personal or professional goals.

The good news is that purchasing a new Pathway is a straightforward process. Whether you want to strengthen your leadership skills, become a more engaging speaker, or explore a different learning experience, adding another Pathway allows you to continue growing through Toastmasters.

This guide explains everything you need to know about purchasing an additional Pathway, from eligibility and costs to accessing your new learning journey.

Why Purchase Another Pathway?

Every Toastmasters Pathway emphasises different communication and leadership competencies. While your first Pathway provides a solid foundation, a second (or third) Pathway allows you to expand your skills in new areas.

You may want another Pathway if you want to:

Develop leadership skills beyond your first path.
Become a stronger presenter or storyteller.
Learn techniques for persuasion or motivation.
Prepare for career advancement.
Support your club by working toward additional educational awards.
Continue learning after completing your first Pathway.

Remember that every new Pathway starts at Level 1, giving you fresh opportunities to practice and refine your skills.

Before You Buy

Before purchasing another Pathway, ensure that:

Your Toastmasters membership is active and in good standing.
You know which Pathway you want to pursue.
You understand that additional Pathways are purchased separately—only your first Pathway is included with your new member fee.

Step 1: Log In to the Toastmasters Website

Visit the official Toastmasters website: Toastmasters International

Click Log In in the top-right corner.

Enter your:

  • Email address
  • Password

After logging in, you’ll arrive at your member home page.

Step 2: Click on the Educational Program Tab

Once logged in, navigate to your pathways tab. At the bottom of the pathways tab, there are options.

Step 3: Navigate to “Choose a Path”

Pick the choose a path option. It will open to choose my learning.

First, you will choose a language. Then it will open the View All Learning page. You can click on each card to see more details about each path.

You have two options.
Option 1. Where you can pick from all available content. (Some content is only available in English.)
Option 2.  Take a Path Assessment. Take five minutes or less to get path suggestions tailored to your goals.

Selecting this option displays the Pathways available for purchase. The current Pathways include:

Dynamic Leadership
Engaging Humor
Motivational Strategies
Persuasive Influence
Presentation Mastery
Visionary Communication

Some members may also be eligible to purchase Vintage Paths at 60 dollars after completing Level 1 of another Pathway.

Step 4: Choose Your New Pathway

Take time to review each option before deciding.

Ask yourself:

Which communication skills do I want to strengthen?
What leadership abilities do I want to develop?
Which projects excite me the most?
Which Pathway supports my career goals?

Your Vice President of Education can also help you select a Pathway that matches your goals.

Step 5: Complete Your Purchase

Once you’ve selected your Pathway:

Click Purchase or Select.
Review your order.
Complete the payment process.

Step 6: Receive Your Confirmation

After completing your purchase, you’ll receive an order confirmation.

Your new Pathway will then be added to your Base Camp account. Most members can begin working on it shortly after the purchase is processed.

Step 7: Begin Level 1

Every new Pathway begins with Level 1. Although you’ve completed another Pathway before, each Pathway starts with foundational projects designed specifically for that learning experience.

Many Toastmasters work on more than one Pathway. When you log into Base Camp, you’ll be able to choose which Pathway you’d like to open.

This allows you to:

Complete projects in different learning tracks.
Progress at your own pace.
Focus on the Pathway that best matches your current goals.

Tips Before Buying Another Pathway

Finish Your Current Path First

While you can own multiple Pathways, completing one before starting another often provides a clearer learning journey.

Choose the Pathway that aligns with your aspirations.

Talk to Experienced Members

Your club’s Vice President Education and experienced members can share their experiences and help you choose a Pathway that fits your interests.
