The accident reportedly occurred at around 7:00 am, with the bus reportedly carrying passengers returning from a burial ceremony when it collided with the lorry.

At least 20 people have been killed and others injured following a head-on collision between a bus and a lorry along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway at Kanga area, past Mtito Andei, on Sunday morning.

Those injured were rushed to Mtito Andei Sub-County Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
