Kenyans in the diaspora, believers across the DMV, and friends of the community are warmly invited to the Power House Community Church Revival Conference, taking place October 16–18, 2026, in Beltsville, Maryland.
Under the inspiring theme “Arise and Rebuild,” this three-day gathering invites you to renew your faith, reconnect with fellow believers, and consider what God is calling you to rebuild in your life, family, church, and community.
The conference features Dr. Joseph Okello, President Emeritus of the Kenya Christian Fellowship in America (KCFA), as the guest speaker, alongside guest gospel singer Gloria Muliro. Host pastors Geoffrey and Lucy Gatambia welcome everyone to come together for this special weekend.
Whether you live in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, or elsewhere, make plans to attend and invite someone to join you.
Arise and Rebuild: A Message of Faith and Renewed Purpose
The conference theme draws from Nehemiah 2:17, which contains the invitation:
“Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace.”
Nehemiah’s call to rebuild speaks to the power of faith, shared responsibility, and the courage to begin again. Faced with broken walls, he called people to recognize the need before them and work together toward restoration.
For many people today, rebuilding carries a deeply personal meaning. It may involve restoring a struggling relationship, renewing a commitment to prayer, strengthening a family, or finding the courage to serve again after disappointment.
For others, it means contributing to a stronger church and a more connected community. The Arise and Rebuild Revival Conference offers an opportunity to reflect on these needs and turn your attention toward God with renewed hope.
Come with an open heart and a willingness to take the next faithful step.
An Invitation to the Kenyan Diaspora Community
Life abroad brings opportunities, but it can also bring demanding schedules, loneliness, family responsibilities, and the pressure of balancing commitments across continents.
Many Kenyans in the diaspora work hard to establish themselves while supporting loved ones back home. Between work, raising children, and meeting everyday obligations, time for spiritual renewal and meaningful fellowship can become limited.
This Kenyan diaspora Christian event in Maryland is an invitation to pause and gather with others who value faith and community. It provides an occasion to meet fellow believers, reconnect with friends, and share a weekend centered on worship and encouragement.
You do not need to be a member of Power House Community Church to attend. The invitation is open to individuals, couples, families, young adults, church leaders, and visitors from every background.
Bring a friend, invite a colleague, or encourage a family member who could benefit from fellowship. All are welcome.
Guest Speaker Dr. Joseph Okello
The conference welcomes Dr. Joe Okello, President Emeritus of KCFA, as its guest speaker.
His participation makes this gathering especially meaningful for members of the Kenyan Christian community in America and others connected to diaspora fellowship and ministry.
As you prepare to attend, take time to reflect on the theme. What needs rebuilding in your spiritual life? Where could renewed commitment make a difference in your home or community? How can you encourage someone else who is facing a difficult season?
These questions offer a helpful starting point for approaching the conference with intention and an expectant heart.
Gospel Music with Gloria Muliro
Gloria Muliro will join the conference as the guest gospel singer, adding a special musical dimension to the weekend.
For those who appreciate gospel music and opportunities to worship together, her participation is another reason to mark your calendar. Invite friends and family to join you as the community gathers in praise.
Worship can give expression to gratitude, hope, and prayers that are sometimes difficult to put into words. Come ready to participate and share in the fellowship of the gathering.
Saturday Leadership Training
Alongside the evening services and Sunday worship, the conference includes leadership training on Saturday, October 17, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Church leaders, ministry volunteers, and those interested in Christian service are encouraged to make time for this session.
The theme of rebuilding reminds us that communities grow stronger when people accept responsibility and serve together. If you are involved in ministry or considering how to contribute more actively, include the leadership training in your weekend plans.
