The award recognises services including digital onboarding, online policy purchase, customer self-service platforms and flexible payment options.
Jubilee Health Insurance Chief Executive Officer and Principal Officer Njeri Jomo said the company’s digital strategy is focused on simplifying access to health insurance.
“Customers increasingly expect services to be simple, accessible and available when and where they need them. Our focus has been to use technology to remove unnecessary complexity from health insurance while ensuring customers still receive the support and assurance they need,” said Jomo.
The insurer said it has also expanded paperless processes, digital distribution and technology-enabled customer support as part of efforts to make its services more accessible.
Head of Marketing and Communications Monica Chege said the focus should be on how digital tools affect customers rather than technology itself.
“Digital innovation must ultimately make things easier for the customer. Our focus is not simply on digitising insurance, but on making health cover easier to understand, access and pay for,” said Chege.
