Guests enjoyed a range of lagers, stouts, ciders and malts, and free entry made the event open to anyone who wanted to come together over music and culture.

Commenting on the Covo edition, KBL Marketing Manager Rediet Yigezu said “The energy and enthusiasm witnessed at Covo, Kahawa Sukari, reflect the power of music and culture in bringing people together.”

Yigezu added that “through Tusker Oktobafest, we set out to take the festival experience closer to our consumers across different regions, while celebrating the richness of Kenyan talent and the diversity of our local music scene.”

Earlier in the festival, Oktobafest set up at the Al Capone Lounge in Nyali, Mombasa, for a night of sherehe. Coastal artiste Masauti headlined, alongside MC Gogo and DJ Daffy.

MC Gogo and DJ Daffy took the stage for an uninterrupted two-hour set before Masauti closed the night with fan favourites, including the TikTok trend “Ipepete.” The Mombasa edition drew a large turnout, with revellers keeping the party going well past sunrise.

KBL’s Strategic Accounts Manager, Ruth Ng’aari, said, “Mombasa is the underrated sherehe central. Our consumers here are the life of the party judging by the turnout and vibe.”
