Construction of the Kamariny Stadium has reached the halfway mark, with the flagship sports infrastructure project now standing at 50 percent complete as the Government accelerates efforts to transform Kenya’s “Home of Champions” into a world-class athletics and sports destination.

Once complete, the modern stadium will have a 10,000-seat capacity and feature a natural grass playing field, a FIFA-standard tartan athletics track, a multi-purpose football and rugby pitch, and three access roads linking the facility to surrounding transport networks.

The project is also expected to stimulate the local economy by attracting training camps, competitions and sports tourism, creating new business opportunities for surrounding communities.
