An information verification desk has been set up to assist families seeking information about relatives who may have been caught in the collapse.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has established a 24-hour response desk at the scene of the collapsed building in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area to coordinate medical support and assist ongoing rescue efforts.

Public Health and Professional Standards Principal Secretary (PS) Mary Muthoni said disaster response protocols had been activated, with the Ministry working closely with the Nairobi County Government to support rescue operations and those affected by the incident.

Medical personnel from referral facilities have also been deployed, while nearby health facilities have been placed on alert to receive casualties.
