If you have been looking for a budget-friendly smartphone with a high refresh rate display, modern design and a large battery that supports fast charging, the Tecno Spark 40 is worth considering or at least looking at. It does deserve to be on your list if your budget is around KSh 12,500.

Some of its key strengths include:

  • A 120Hz display for smooth scrolling (rare in this price segment)
  • Decent performance with the Helio G81 chipset for everyday tasks
  • Stereo speakers and a headphone jack for a better media experience
  • 5200mAh battery with fast 45W charging

For those after higher display resolution (e.g., Full HD+), NFC, or more powerful cameras, this is not the phone for you. You are better off exploring slightly higher-priced alternatives.

With all that said, the Spark 40 is still perfect for casual users, students, and budget-conscious buyers who are looking for a stylish, responsive device with long battery life. This phone also comes with updated hardware that should last longer.

The Tecno Spark 40 Pro is available in Kenya for KSh 18,700 through ecommerce platforms like Gadgets Leo. The price may vary depending on the retailer you buy it from.

The Tecno Spark 40 Pro is not waterproof but it can withstand water splashes since it has an IP64 rating. This rating means it can withstand water and dust particles. On water, it can be submerged up to 1.5 mm.
