For KCB, the defeat was a frustrating setback after an encouraging start to the campaign. The bankers had drawn 2-2 with Nairobi United before beating Mathare United 1-0, and had hoped to extend their unbeaten run against a side yet to register a point.

Mark Shaban came off the bench to score a dramatic stoppage-time winner as Posta Rangers claimed their first victory of the 2026/27 FKF Premier League season with a 1-0 win over KCB at Police Sacco Stadium on Friday.

The Mailmen secured all three points in the 93rd minute through Shaban, whose late strike ended their two-match losing run and offered coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno some relief after a difficult start to the campaign.

Posta had entered the match under pressure after losing their opening fixtures against Shabana FC and Murang’a Seal.
