OPPO has introduced the Reno16 Series in Kenya, bringing two new smartphones that combine distinctive finishes, premium materials and different display sizes.

The lineup consists of the OPPO Reno16 5G and the OPPO Reno16 F 5G, with both models featuring the company’s new 3D Pop Planet Design. The design draws inspiration from cosmic imagery, using light, depth and texture to create a distinctive look.

The OPPO Reno16 5G retails at KSh 79,999, while the Reno16 F 5G costs KSh 69,999. Both smartphones are available in Pop White and Twilight Violet.

New Design

The Reno16 Series introduces OPPO’s 3D Pop Planet Design, which gives the smartphones a visual identity inspired by the idea of individuals as vibrant, distinct planets.

One of the key elements is the Pop White finish, which uses HoloVerse 3D Technology to produce a nebula-inspired effect that changes with light and movement. According to OPPO, the technology uses millions of micro-lenses to create an illusion of depth, making the imagery on the back of the phone appear to float above its surface.

The rear design also incorporates a one-piece, cold-sculpted back cover that flows into the camera module. This creates a continuous appearance while helping to minimise dust accumulation around the camera area.

The design reflects OPPO’s focus on combining visual appeal with practical considerations, including how the phone feels in the hand and how its components fit together.

Display

The OPPO Reno16 5G features a 6.32-inch display, making it the smaller option in the series. Its compact form is designed for users who prefer a phone that is easier to handle with one hand, particularly when navigating apps or carrying out everyday tasks.

The device also features an aerospace-grade aluminium frame, which adds to its premium finish and provides a solid feel when held.

Reno16 F 5G Comes With a Larger Screen

For users who prefer more screen space, the OPPO Reno16 F 5G comes with a 6.57-inch display.

The larger screen provides more room for watching videos, browsing the internet, viewing photos and engaging with other content. It also offers an alternative for consumers who prioritize display size when choosing a smartphone.

Although the two models differ in size, both retain the Reno16 Series’ signature design, including the integrated camera module and the Pop White and Twilight Violet colour options.
