NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 17 – Chinese smartphone maker TECNO has unveiled a concept phone with a claimed 0mm display bezel as manufacturers work to reduce the visible borders around smartphone screens.
The Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone was showcased at IFA ShowStoppers 2026 in Berlin as a technology demonstration and is not currently a commercial product.
TECNO said the design eliminates the black border normally visible between the active display and the phone’s outer frame, addressing the final one to two millimetres found on many narrow-bezel smartphones.
The company said it reworked the display architecture through internal stacking, structural engineering and screen-packaging techniques to achieve the edge-to-edge design.
The concept also incorporates technologies for camera integration, touch sensitivity, sound, structural design and user-interface interaction.
TECNO has not announced a commercial launch date, price or markets for the concept phone.
The company also showcased other smartphones and laptops at the Berlin event, including the MEGABOOK T15 360 Series, comprising the T15 360 and T15 360 Pro.The two laptops have 15.6-inch touchscreens and 360-degree hinges that allow them to be used in laptop, tablet, tent and stand modes.
The Pro model features a 2.5K 120Hz display, with configurations offering Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processors, LPDDR5X memory and PCIe SSD storage.
TECNO said the MEGABOOK T15 360 Series is expected to launch in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2026, with availability in other markets to be confirmed.
The company also displayed the MEGABOOK K15S WCL, 17.3-inch MEGABOOK T17 Ultra, POVA 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition and CAMON Slim 5G.
