EACC recovers 2.7-acre public school playground in Kikuyu
Description (show more)
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission EACC has recovered a 2.7-acre public school playground in Kikuyu, Kiambu County, following a court ruling that declared its registration in the name of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa Ruguthi Women’s Guild illegal and fraudulent. The Environment and Land Court at Thika Kiambu County ruled that the land was public property reserved for three primary schools, nullifying its allocation and registration in the Guild’s name. The ruling safeguards a vital recreational facility used by more than 1,300 pupils.
