This Couple Left America, Settled in a Kenyan Village, Homeschool Their Children& Run a Coffee Brand
Description (show more)
For many people, leaving America for a village in Kenya would seem unimaginable. For George and Mekenze Limiri, it became one of the best decisions they have ever made. After building a life in the United States, they chose to settle in a village in Meru, where they are raising their children, homeschooling them, building Limiris Coffee, growing a tours and travel business, and embracing a life rooted in family, purpose and community. In this conversation, they reflect on the decision to leave America behind, the realities of adjusting to village life, building businesses away from the city, and why success, for them, is no longer measured by where they live but by the life they are creating. This is a story about taking an unconventional path, trusting your convictions, and discovering that sometimes the life you’ve been searching for is found by going back to the very place others are leaving. #LynnNgugiShow #SlowLiving
