Wahome defends government ownership of Dangote refinery land in Lamu
Description (show more)
Lands Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome has defended the government’s ownership of land earmarked for the Dangote East Africa Refinery in Lamu. Wahome said the largest portion of the project site is public land. She accused those challenging the government’s ownership of the land in court of being influenced by what she termed “enemies of development.” The Cabinet Secretary, however, said genuine squatters and legitimate landowners affected by the project will be addressed.
