Microfinance banks struggle despite narrower losses

Microfinance banks here in the country are still struggling to turn their fortunes around. The Central Bank’s latest annual supervision report shows that although the sector reduced its losses in 2025, its capital position weakened further. By year-end, only six out of the country’s 14 microfinance banks managed to post a profit.
