Several vehicles were torched and two people feared dead following chaos that erupted at Nembure Stadium in Embu County during a meeting hosted by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki. Police were forced to lob tear gas after residents who were denied entry to the meeting for UDA polling officials, clashed with security agents. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and UDA party have since condemned the violence regretting the loss and damage from the chaos calling for a speedy probe. Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire has faulted a local MP for allegedly sponsoring the unrest.
