Youth coding initiative by UNESCO takes shape in Kenyan schools

Calls for increased investment in Artificial Intelligence and narrowing the infrastructure gaps reverberated during the Youth Coding Initiative spearheaded by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. Participants called for enhancing training in digital skills in Kenyan schools and training of teachers to reduce the digital divide. The call comes as UNESCO expands its reach to learners, so far reaching more than 1,200 Kenyan students.
