Hundreds of elders drawn from the Kikuyu, Meru and Embu communities have welcomed the Government’s decision to revert the controversial 58-acre Githunguri Shrine land in Kiambu County back to the people. The elders who marched for several kilometers to the disputed parcel of land praying in their respective languages noted that the breakthrough was made possible after long consultations with the government over the ownership and use of the land.
