Description (show more)
A group of men in Mathioya, in Murang’a County, have joined forces in a renewed push to fight illicit and third-generation alcohol. The vice has claimed several lives, with men being the most vulnerable. Dr. Stanley Kamau of Ahadi Trust, who led a sensitization forum in the area, called on the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and other government agencies, to intensify awareness campaigns against third-generation alcohol. Kamau noted that alcohol dependency in the area is on the rise, tearing many families apart ,and leaving behind widows and orphans.
