Kenya’s Emerging Stars will kick off their 2027 Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign on Monday when they host Tanzania in the first leg of the opening round at Nyayo National Stadium. The Anthony Kimani-led side has been in camp preparing for the first leg, with the return match set for Tanzania. The qualification campaign will produce seven teams to join hosts Egypt at the 2027 Under-23 AFCON finals. The winner between Kenya and Tanzania will face Côte d’Ivoire in the next round. The tournament will also serve as Africa’s qualification pathway to the men’s football tournament at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
