KDC targets farmers and businesses with financing through SACCOs and cooperatives

The Kenya Development Corporation is seeking to channel more financing to farmers and businesses through SACCOs and cooperatives to boost economic growth and value addition. The corporation says the funding will support enterprises across key agricultural value chains, including dairy, maize, wheat, coffee and livestock, enabling them to invest in processing, storage facilities and machinery. KDC says it has already disbursed 5.3 billion shillings under the SAFER Project to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises across all 45 counties.
