Ruto accuses Uhuru of sponsoring opposition leaders

President William Ruto has stepped up his attacks on retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, accusing him of sponsoring opposition leaders to undermine his administration. The President, who was in Migori on the fourth day of his Nyanza tour, said the 2027 General Election would be an election of national unity and inclusivity, contrary to what he described as the divisive politics of previous regimes.
