Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has announced new security arrangements for the KPSEA and KJSEA assessments, which kicked off today. Ogamba says armed police officers will not be deployed to man assessment centres, unlike in previous national examinations. The move is aimed at providing learners with a conducive environment to sit their assessments without intimidation or unnecessary disruption. More than 2.5 million learners have registered for the KPSEA and KJSEA assessments, which are scheduled to run until the end of October. Serfine Achieng' Ouma reports.
