McCarthy to hand new call-ups chance against Rwanda

Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy is set to give new call-ups a chance to impress when Kenya faces Rwanda in an international friendly match in Kigali today. The match kicks off at 7pm. McCarthy says Rwanda provides the perfect test for his team following the opening two rounds of the Pamoja AFCON qualifiers. Harambee Stars have collected just one point from a home draw against Eritrea and a 1-0 away defeat to Guinea. Rwanda, meanwhile, top Group K with six points after beating Liberia 3-1 at home and securing a 2-1 away victory over Cape Verde. Today’s match will be Kenya’s final game before the next round of qualifiers, where Harambee Stars will face South Africa home and away next month.
