Catholic prayer day held amid grief over 17 deaths

The National Prayer Day for Catholic faithful in the country was held under a cloud of grief following the deaths of 17 people who were travelling to attend the prayers. Leading pilgrims at the Subukia Shrine in Nakuru County, the leadership of the Catholic Church prayed for the souls of the departed while calling on road users to remain vigilant. And as Laura Otieno reports, the Church also prayed for peace, urging political leaders to uphold accountability as the country prepares for the elections.
