Description (show more)
Health experts are warning about the growing burden of diabetes and obesity facing Kenya, with up to sixty percent of people living with diabetes estimated to be undiagnosed. According to Endocrinologist Dr. Roselyn Ngugi, obesity is increasingly contributing to other serious conditions, including hypertension, cardiovascular disease and chronic kidney disease among Kenyans. She spoke in Nairobi during the launch of Ozempic and Wegovy medicines, which are used in the management of type 2 diabetes and obesity.
