Machakos farmer gives spent mushroom substrate a second life

A farmer in Machakos County is finding another use for oyster mushroom substrate after the crop completes its normal production cycle indoors. Instead of discarding the spent material, the farmer gives it a second opportunity to produce mushrooms by placing it on the ground.
