Turbo tanker explosion death toll hits 8

The death toll of the Turbo oil tanker explosion has risen to 8, after two more people who were receiving treatment at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital succumbed to their injuries. More than 20 survivors are still recuperating at the facility with various degrees of injury. This comes even as some survivors callied on the government to help in offsetting the medical bills. Speaking during a fund drive organized for victims, A section of leaders called on the government to expedite the expansion of the Northern Corridor highway, as they warned locals to keep off oil tankers.
