Gachagua pledges to prioritise fight against corruption
Description (show more)
Democracy for the Citizens Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua has pledged to prioritize the fight against corruption in government if the United Opposition clinches power in 2027, alleging that graft remains the greatest stumbling block for Kenyans living abroad to invest back home. Gachagua, who spoke when he attended Sunday service at the Victory Chapel in Dallas, Texas, said the quest to do away with the vice will top his election manifesto, in a bid to woo back investors, some of whom he believes have relocated from the country because of graft. He also told Kenyans in the diaspora that the United Opposition would bring immediate reforms in the country’s health sector.
