Nairobi Is Going Vertical
Description (show more)
Nairobi is changing — and you can see it from the streets. In MY FIRST EVER CLOG, I walked inside the Kenya capital city to explore some of Nairobi’s suburbs that have undergone a dramatic transformation over the past few years. Areas once dominated by bungalows, maisonettes and low-rise homes are increasingly being replaced by towering apartment buildings, offices and mixed-use developments. From Kilimani to Upper Hill and Westlands, I walk through these changing neighborhoods, look at the buildings rising around me, and use drone footage to show just how dramatically Nairobi’s skyline is evolving. But why is Nairobi building upwards? What is driving the boom in high-rise developments? And what does this transformation mean for the future of the Kenyan capital? Come with me as we explore Nairobi's changing skyline — from low-rise suburbs to a rapidly growing vertical city. 📍 Nairobi, Kenya 🎥 The Kenyan Historian If you enjoy stories about Kenya, African cities, infrastructure, development, history and urban transformation, subscribe to The Kenyan Historian for more. #Nairobi #Kenya #NairobiSkyline #KenyanHistorian
