Sakaja urges Nairobians to clean up residences
Description (show more)
Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja has called on City dwellers to take up cleaning exercises in their respective areas of residence, in the rush against time to ensure the County is ready for the approaching El-Nino rains. Lodging the appeal in Kasarani, when he led a clean-up exercise of drainages across Nairobi’s seventeen Sub Counties, Sakaja expressed confidence that the County will be ready by the time the rains hit in a fortnight. The Clean Up, led by the County’s Green Army, is targeting neighbourhoods, estates and roads, with more than 4,500 Green Army personnel mobilized to speed up waste collection, and the maintenance of public spaces.
