21-year-old student among 2,157 beneficiaries handed keys to affordable homes in Eldoret

At 21, most young people are focused on completing their studies, finding jobs and navigating life after college, with homeownership often a distant dream. But for Eldoret National Polytechnic student Abigail Chepkemoi, that dream has become a reality in an unexpected way. After taking up a job at the Pioneer Affordable Housing Project, Chepkemoi never imagined that the homes she was helping build would one day give her an opportunity to own one. Today, she is among 2,157 beneficiaries who have received the keys to their new homes in Eldoret. Mary Muoki reports.
