Murang’a reverts to manual records amid Afya.Ke shutdown claims
Description (show more)
All 170 health facilities in Murang’a County were forced to revert to manual patient records on Thursday, following what the county alleges was the shutdown of the Afya.Ke digital platform used to manage healthcare services. The disruption, which county health officials say began on Tuesday, has reportedly locked out providers from accessing patient histories, managing revenue collection and monitoring pharmaceutical stocks. The Ministry of Health has distanced itself from the allegations, insisting that none of its health information management systems has been shut down.
