Ndiritu Muriithi elected Kenya Reform Party leader

Kenya Revenue Authority Board Chairperson and former Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi has been elected leader of the Kenya Reform Party as political parties position themselves ahead of the 2027 presidential election. Muriithi dismissed claims that he is a political project, saying Mount Kenya is not united behind one political party or leadership. Leaders present said the mushrooming and revival of political parties was a declaration of independence from larger political parties. They accused major political parties of undermining candidates seeking elective positions.
