Tens feared trapped as 18-storey building collapses in Eastleigh

Tragedy has struck Nairobi’s Eastleigh neighbourhood after an 18-storey building under construction collapsed at around midday. The incident has sparked fears that tens of people could be trapped beneath the rubble. So far, one woman has been rescued as emergency teams race against time to locate and save survivors. Among those feared trapped are construction workers and traders who were operating in shops on the building’s ground and basement floors.
