Description (show more)
Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has announced that all manufacturers of alcoholic drinks sold in Kenya will undergo a fresh round of vetting. Speaking at Nyambari in Lari Constituency, Kiambu County, Kindiki said the move follows a rise in harmful alcoholic drinks in the country. The Deputy President also called on Kenyans to depoliticize the fight against harmful alcoholic drinks and instead leave the matter to security agencies and other relevant government authorities. Kindiki was speaking while inspecting national government development projects in Lari Constituency. He assured Kenyans that the government remains on course to implement its development agenda and urged them to ignore what he termed as naysayers.
