More than 60 per cent of Murang’a County’s 1,400-acre industrial park has already been taken up by investors, signalling growing activity at the flagship industrial project. Governor Irungu Kang’ata says the remaining 40 per cent of the industrial city presents opportunities in manufacturing, agro-processing, logistics, healthcare and other value-adding industries. Speaking at the Murang’a Governor’s Investment Dinner in Nairobi, Governor Kang’ata said the county has attracted more than 30 approved investors, with six companies already starting construction of their factories. The industrial city has received 48 applications since the first investment conference in June 2025, while the county has issued 44 allotment letters for 99-year leases.
