Kenya confirms third Ebola case as 127 contacts are placed under quarantine

Description (show more)

Kenya has confirmed a third case of Ebola after a 65-year-old woman tested positive for the Bundibugyo virus disease. In a statement released by the Ministry of Health on Friday, the woman was listed as a primary contact and close relative of the first and second patients and had developed symptoms while in quarantine. And as Laura Otieno reports, Health Director General Dr. Patrick Amoth has given an assurance that the risk of community transmission still remains at a minimum, as 127 out of the 130 listed contacts of the first and second patients have been identified and placed under quarantine.
