Two Little Girls Burn To Death Behind A Padlocked Door In Gachie | Iko Nini
Description (show more)
Two little girls lost their lives in a 4th-floor apartment fire in Gachie, and a 3-year-old was saved by neighbours who risked everything 💔 Then the story came out: separated parents, co-parenting, weekend visits with mum, a door allegedly padlocked from the outside, and threats that were allegedly made long before the fire. Police are still investigating and nobody has been charged, so everything here is what has been reported and alleged. Mwaf, Laura, Zaq & Ian go through it: the Citizen TV report on the rescue, the mother's own post from July 2025 accusing her husband of abuse, the father's video, and a WhatsApp from a neighbour who shares a fence with the building. Then the real conversation: domestic violence. Why do people stay? Is the church's "till death do us part" keeping women (and men) in abusive marriages? Who do you go to for counsel when your parents went through the same thing? "Domestic violence ends in two ways": either the abuser or the victim ends up dead, and this time it was the kids. If it's not working, just walk away. If you or someone you know is in an abusive relationship in Kenya, call the free 1195 GBV helpline (24 hours) or Childline Kenya 116 for children.
