Raila’s children Winnie and Junior declare political ambitions as family vows to preserve his legacy

A year after the passing of Raila Odinga, two of his children have thrown their hats into the political ring, with Raila Odinga Junior announcing his bid for Kibra Constituency, an area his father represented for over 20 years. Raila’s daughter Winnie has also declared her interest in the Nairobi senatorial seat, as she spoke in parables about how she will rally the youth forward. Meanwhile, Odinga’s sister Ruth says they remain keen to preserve the legacy of the larger Odinga family.
