IG Kanja ordered to appear in court over missing Tanzanian activist

Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja is expected to appear in court on Tuesday over the mysterious disappearance of Tanzanian activist Twaha Mwaipaya a week ago. This follows orders issued by Milimani High Court Judge Alexander Muteti, granting an application by human rights group Vocal Africa for the police boss to appear in court and explain Mwaipaya’s whereabouts.
