Murkomen rules out compensation for livestock killed in Samburu operation

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen says there will be no compensation for hundreds of livestock killed during a multi-agency security operation in Samburu County. Appearing before the National Assembly Internal Security and National Administration Committee, Murkomen disputed claims by leaders from the region that more than 700 livestock were killed. The CS says compensating the affected owners could open a Pandora’s box.
