Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital is in the process of upgrading to Level Six status, with plans to expand specialized medical services and increase capacity to handle complex cases. The National Government has committed one billion shillings for infrastructure development and another 1.2 billion shillings worth of equipment as part of efforts to upgrade the facility.
